Community guidelines
Here to listen. Not to harm.
Linkdout welcomes funny stories, frustration, constructive criticism and honest requests for support. We do not welcome harassment.
Allowed
- Personal accounts of work experiences, expressed as personal perspectives.
- Workplace humour and respectful criticism of policies and practices.
- Empathetic and practical replies, when advice is requested.
- Positive updates and comeback stories.
Not allowed
- Doxxing, contact details, confidential data, screenshots exposing private information.
- Threats, hate, targeted abuse, incitement to harm or coordinated harassment.
- Unsubstantiated allegations presented as proven fact against identifiable individuals.
- Spam, scams, impersonation or fabricated testimonials.
Automated checks
Posts and replies are checked for excessive links, obvious promotional pitches, repeated text and character flooding. Common swear words are replaced with **** before new content is stored. Basic checks cover selected English, Hindi and Tamil transliterations; they are not a complete multilingual abuse detector. Normal criticism and requests for support are welcome. If a post is rejected, read the reason and revise it. Use reports for harmful content the filters miss.
Reports and appeals
Reports are stored privately for their submitter and authorised moderators. Moderators can dismiss a report or remove a post. Reporting is not continuously monitored, and a response time is not guaranteed. An in-app appeals process is not yet available. Do not use reports for urgent assistance.
